Restaurant Spotlight:
Kool Beans Cafe
921 Thomasville Rd
If you know, you know. Kool Beanz Cafe is where you go when you’re tired of chain food and want something with some local personality. The plates are creative without being weird, and it’s the kind of place where dinner casually turns into drinks. Not flashy. Just consistently good.
Our Go-To Order:
Cavatappi

Hidden Gem of the Week:
Tallahassee Automobile Museum
6800 Mahan Dr

You have driven past it hundreds of times, but have you actually been inside? There are over 160 class automobiles on display. In our backyard, the museum has quietly been home to some major players in US history. You have the 1860 horse-drawn funeral hearse reported to have carried Abraham Lincoln, and to switch gears, 3 Batmobiles, including the original cars used in the movies! Its one of the Tallahassee spots everyone recognizes, but few can say they have experienced everything the museum has to offer.
Random Tally Fact:
Before the Doak Campbell Stadium occupied its site, the land was part of a state prison farm.
